What is the Catholic Men’s Gathering?
The Resurrection Parish Catholic Men’s Gathering is men of all ages and walks of life exploring our Catholic faith together.
In a relaxed and encouraging setting, our group of friends investigates topics ranging from gospel readings to Mary to parenting teens. The greatest learnings come from the sharing of our diverse perspectives.
Most Catholic men know or suspect that we have an amazing faith. We also suspect that integrating that faith into our lives better could be powerful. This group does not have it all figured out. That is why Red Sox and Yankee fans show up and share donuts in our jeans, sweats and sneakers. Together, we uncover little pieces of all that Jesus wants for us. Those pieces make more sense now than they might have in CCD class so many years ago.
Different weekly topics or focus makes it easy to jump in or out as your schedule allows.
Rez men join together to ask for God’s help. We pray for aging parents, job searches and patience with unpleasant relatives.
The Holy Spirit is with us when we gather. We are good to each other. We laugh with each other like guys do. Over the past few years, across this country there has been a steady rise of local Catholic small groups like our Men’s Gathering. This is a living testament to powerful action by the Holy Spirit. Catholic men are building strong relationships, learning how to pray for one another, and finding the support they need to thrive in today’s challenging culture. The expansion and continued success of small groups is part of an amazing future for our Church.
